Why doesn't my rose bush have red rose hips?

Ive had my mini rose bush for about 2 years now and its doing well. But I see pictures of what rose hips are suppose to look like and mine don't look like little red tomatoes. Their green and when the petals start to shrivel up they do too. Anyone have any idea on why mine don't get red.
