How to let my friend know she looks like a clown?

This is a touchy situation. It sounds like she might be insecure along with being clueless about makeup. Since she is looking for a boyfriend, I would suggest going shopping for a new look...maybe tell her that since the summer is coming that you need to get make up that is a little darker and maybe she should too...when she tries it, be all surprised that THAT is her new color. I bet dark skinned girls have trouble finding the right color because there aren't that many dark ones so try to help her find a good one. Also, tell her that her natural beauty is so stunning that you would love to see her in a dark smoky eye with a nude lip. Tell her that a nude lip is just as dramatic as a dark one but it takes a certain kind of girl to pull it off. If the eyeshadow you pick out isn't crazy enough for her, try adding some gold in the corner of her inner eye or try a gold liner. Guys seem to like more natural looks and if she wants a really nice and down to earth guy she probably won't attract one looking so high maintenence. When you get all excited about her new makeup, take a trip to the clothing section and pick something out that flatters her fuller figure. When she tries it on, tell her how slimming her outfit is...get her some LONG skinny jeans if she can pull them off and see if she likes a nude heel with the pant coming down over the top. It will make her look long and lean, and with the right top, she will look like a new woman. Make sure to try things on too so it doesn't look like an intervention. Tell her that she looks thinner and sexier by having a little mystery and maybe she will hide that belly. Less is more.
